Fitness Improves Kids' Grades
A new study by West Virginia University finds that the fitter the student, the better the test scores. The researchers evaluated 1200 students in grades 5 to 7 for two years. Their findings say the kids who were physically fit in the 5th grade and maintained it at 7th grade, had the highest test scores. Regular physical activity for kids can result in positive mood, healthy blood sugar levels and an increased ability to focus and pay attention. Children's physical fitness is directly associated with their academic performance. Help your kids to be physically active. They need 60 minutes of play or exercise everyday.
