You Do Not Need To Drink 8 Glasses Of Water Every Day!
Most experts recommend you drink 8 glasses of water a day. According to the American Journal of Physiology, there's no scientific study to support this recommendation. So is it necessary to drink all that water? No, not really. Your hydration needs can be met through a variety of sources in addition to drinking water. You get water from fruits, vegetables, coffee, tea, juices, and milk. There's no question that water is important for your body's health. How much water should you drink? If you're not eating lots of fruit and veggies, and drinking tea and juices, then the 8 glass rule may be a good guideline for you. Letting your thirst be a guide may not always work. I've had many clients tell me they drink very little water but never feel thirsty. I think what works really well as a guideline for your hydration level is the color of your urine. If it's dark yellow, you're dehydrated. It should be almost colorless, like water.
